Build it yourself with Zapier, Make or n8n, or buy it done
You know what you want: a form submission goes to the right person and gets an instant reply. You open a workflow tool, build half of it on a Sunday, and by month three nobody remembers how it works. DIY tools are cheap and good. The real question is whose time they use.

Side by side
| What to compare | Gonzo | The alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Zapier: price | A fixed price per system. First-year cost runs from $7,500 to $35,000 across the nine systems on the price page (for example $9,200 for the Lead Response Engine). | Zapier's pricing page, read October 2, 2026, lists prices in US dollars: a Free plan with 100 tasks a month, Professional from $19.99 a month, and Team from $69 a month. It offers yearly billing at 33% off the monthly rate, and task allowances rise with the tier you pick.[1] |
| Make: price | Same fixed price as in the Zapier row. | Make's pricing page, read October 2, 2026, also in US dollars, shows a Free plan with up to 1,000 credits a month. The cheapest paid plan shown is $9 a month for 5,000 credits. Most actions use 1 credit.[2] |
| n8n: price | Same fixed price as in the Zapier row. | n8n's pricing page, read October 2, 2026, shows cloud plans billed annually: Starter at EUR 20 a month for 2,500 workflow executions, Pro at EUR 50 for 10,000, and Business at EUR 667 for 40,000. The page says annual billing saves 17%. It also lists self-hosted options, where you run and secure the server yourself.[3] |
| Who builds and maintains it | We build to a fixed scope, run it, and fix it. The retainer covers ongoing changes. | You do. That is the point: you get full control, and your time or an employee's time is the real cost. |
| WhatsApp and email | The Lead Response Engine takes WhatsApp and email into one queue, with WhatsApp going through the official Business API. Its web form adapter is not built yet. | Zapier and n8n list webhook or HTTP-request features on their pricing pages. Setting up WhatsApp Business API access and following its opt-in policy is work you take on. |
| Reporting and handoff | A daily response-time report (Lead Response Engine), and a handoff to a human when the lead asks something the system cannot answer. | You design these yourself. |
| Simple one-step flows | Probably overkill. | Cheaper and quicker to do yourself, going by the plan prices above. |
| Control and portability | Delivered systems are described in the scope we agree. Ask for exports and documentation in writing. | Fully yours. Workflows live in your own account or server. |

Our view
When the alternative wins
- You have one or two simple flows, such as form to spreadsheet to email.
- You or a colleague enjoy building and will keep the flows maintained.
- You want full control and the lowest possible software cost.
- You need many small integrations that change often.
When Gonzo wins
- You do not have the time or the person to build and maintain it.
- The flow is not simple: qualifying questions, calendars, WhatsApp, handoff, and reporting together.
- You want a fixed price, a deadline, and a named scope. The deadline is 7 to 21 business days from a signed scope and the deposit, depending on the system.
- You want someone else on the hook when it breaks.
