Dormant List Revival is one of Gonzo Digital's nine fixed-price systems. It costs $1,500 to set up and $500 a month, in US dollars, and goes live 7 business days after a signed scope and the deposit. It is for any business with 2,000+ past customers and no active reactivation program. Anything it sends on its own says it is from an AI.

What you get

  • Segmentation of the existing customer list by recency and value
  • A written win-back sequence (WhatsApp + email), staged, not blasted
  • Automated send with a human-set daily cap and an honored opt-out
  • Weekly report: sent, replied, booked, revenue recovered

Who it is for

Any business with 2,000+ past customers and no active reactivation program.

How it behaves

  • Anything this system sends to a person on its own says it is an AI. There is no setting to turn that off.
  • Fixed scope. The deliverables above are the scope, and the price does not move with the hours.

What this page does not show

Client results. This page describes what the system can do, not what it has done for someone. We will publish a result only when a real client has earned it and agreed to be named.

More detail

How it runs

  1. Sorts your past customers by recency and value.
  2. Sends a short win-back sequence, only to people who have agreed to hear from you, under a daily cap you set. The cap starts low and steps up.
  3. Stops on a reply or an opt-out, books the people who say yes, and sends you a weekly report.

Where it connects

Each row says what exists today and what has to be true before it runs for you. "Tested in the sandbox" means tested against simulated services.

ConnectionStatus todayWhat going live needs
Your customer listSupplied by you.The list, with a consent record for each person. A purchased or scraped list is refused by the consent check and never becomes a contact.
EmailBuilt, tested in the sandbox.A separate sending domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up. The agent refuses to send email without it.
WhatsApp Business API (official)Built, tested in the sandbox.A WhatsApp Business API account and a Meta-approved re-engagement template. Until one is configured, WhatsApp is skipped and the skip is counted.
Consent recordsHeld in memory in the sandbox.A persisted consent store, so a restart cannot lose who said STOP.
Your sales feed (POS, Shopify or Stripe)Optional. Passed in; tested with simulated sales.Read access to the feed, only if you want revenue attributed in the weekly report.
CalendarBuilt, tested in the sandbox.A calendar account, if you want bookings made.

What this does not do

  • No consent record, no message. It does not write to a list it has no consent for.
  • It does not blast. A person sets the daily cap, and the first days run well below it.
  • "Revenue recovered" is last-touch attribution inside a time window, taken from a sales feed you pass in. It shows that someone who was messaged later bought. It does not prove the message caused the sale.
  • No win-back rate is published. Nobody can say in advance what share of a dormant list comes back, and we do not guess.
  • A reply that asks about price goes to a person. The agent does not talk price.
  • A complaint, legal language or a request for erasure stops the conversation, and the request goes to a person. A STOP ends all messages to that contact on email and WhatsApp, the only two channels it uses.
  • Consent rules differ by country. The consent basics note and the market pages list what each regulator says, with dates. They are general information, not legal advice.

Doubts people raise about this one

Will it spam people? Who is it allowed to message?

Most systems write only to people who wrote to you first or agreed to hear from you: the Lead Response Engine, Dormant List Revival, Client Onboarding, the AI Receptionist and the E-commerce Support Assistant.

The AI Outreach & Lead Qualification Engine is the one that can write first. It writes only to business contacts that come from public business data, an introduction or an inbound inquiry, each cleared by a consent check, and it says it is an AI on the first touch. A bought or scraped list is refused. Whether cold business email is allowed depends on the country of the person you write to: the market pages list what each regulator says, with dates, and are not legal advice.

WhatsApp goes through the official Business API only: opted-in contacts, and an approved template outside the 24-hour reply window. There is no cold or broadcast WhatsApp and no cold calling. A STOP is honored before anything else is said. Sends run under a daily cap that a person sets.

Does it work with my WhatsApp?

It uses the official WhatsApp Business API, and only that. A reply inside the 24-hour window after a customer writes needs no template. A message outside the window needs an approved template and an opted-in contact. Messaging strangers and cold sends are not done, because WhatsApp's policy allows contact only with people who opted in. Broadcasts go only to opted-in contacts.

The API is reached through a provider. Whether your current number can be used, and what your setup needs, a person will check with you before you sign.

What do I need to provide to get started?

It depends on the product, and the build names what it reads:

  • AI Receptionist and Lead Response Engine: your knowledge base and business hours.
  • Dormant List Revival: your customer list, with consent records for who may be contacted.
  • E-commerce Support Assistant: your order data, your return policy and your product data.
  • Connected Operations Layer: you connect each account through its own sign-in, and can revoke it.

The exact checklist for your system is agreed when scope is signed. The full list is not on file, so a person will give it to you.

What is the cheapest way to start?

By list price the lowest first year is Dormant List Revival: $1,500 setup and $500 a month. It fits any business with 2,000+ past customers and no active reactivation program.

Cheapest is not the same as right for you. Pick the one that fixes the task costing you the most today. Scope does not shrink to fit a budget, because a negotiated scope is how fixed-price products turn into agency projects.

What if a customer complains or mentions a lawyer?

It does not try to handle it. A complaint, a legal or compliance matter, a high-value or VIP contact, a request for a human, a STOP and a data-erasure request all go to a hand-off lane. The system stops conversing after at most one neutral acknowledgment and notifies you.

What if it gets something wrong?

It will sometimes get things wrong. It is not error-free, and we will not say it is.

What happens next: a failed action is retried, then set aside in a queue where you can see it, rather than dropped quietly. A question outside its data or policy is passed to a person instead of guessed at. Each action is written to a tamper-evident log, so you can see what it did and when.
